DSLR - It's Construction (Part 1)

For this particular post (and some other future posts about DSLR) is just for our common knowledge about DSLR. It might also be considered as useful knowledge for some enthusiastic beginners. I'm not a professional, and certainly ain't a beginner; I considered myself as intermediate. haha..

Sambut Birthday

Senibong, Johor.

Senibong; a typical popular place to visit, where people come to eat various popular seafood dishes. At night, Senibong is very 'a live' with everything; the people around, the cars, the traders, the lights...basically everything. To my understanding, this typical place is situated near the 'edge' of Johor; where by Singapore can be seen near by. It was basically a spontaneous plan to go there. The purpose of going there was to celebrate Afif's birthday; well, belated birthday actually, because his birthday was yesterday.

I planned to go there early because I had to pick up Taufik, Afif, Along and Rasyid. So I went to Surau Annur to pray Maghrib first, so I asked Taufik and Afif to meet there, perform our prayers together and then we can pick up Along afterwards. After the prayer, we all three went to Along's house, we had to wait for him because he had just came home from work. At approximate 8.10pm, we moved off to Rasyid's house in BBU. After picking up Rasyid, we headed off immediately to Senibong.

It was a very long journey. If I'm not mistaken, it took us about 45 minutes to reached there. I've been to Senibong before, but during that time, construction was being developed. The developers (civil engineers) was constructing new infrastructures for enhancement and ease future traffics. So now, the construction has been completed; there were flyovers, new road passages and better traffic management. Because of all that, precious time can be saved.

And so we reached there at 9pm something (I can't remember). I parked the car, then we walked and we entered the first food stall there. Then we sat down and ordered our foods. We thought we could order foods separately but the 'waitress' insisted us to take RM100 package (mathematically, each had to pay RM20) which consist of nasi, sup tomyam, a sweet & spicy red sauce fish dish (don't know what kind of fish...haha), sotong goreng tepung, udang goreng tepung and lauk sayur, with watermelon juice. Delicious~ ^^,

I brought my camera along, so here are some of my pictures taken.

Majlis Pertunangan

Taman Perling, Johor.

My friend, Azlin Farhana, a former classmate during my degree in UTM, invited me to come over to her engagement ceremony at her house. At first, I said to her that I could not make it as I was planning to go to my x-girlfriend's house early that morning. But then my x-girlfriend told me to come at noon, because she wants to cook and that we could have a feast together with the whole family. And so I managed myself to attend Azlin's engagement ceremony.

Azlin told me to come over at 10.30am and I told her that I would like to take some photos. It was an opportunity for me to do some photography business. =) Once I've reached her house and parked my car, I saw Zubair's car. I was wondering if he was also a friend of Azlin. And one I've entered the house, I met Zubair's older brother, Shakir (a former senior at my old school). He told me that his friend, Hanif is going to engaged with Azlin. At first I didn't know who was Hanif. And Shakir was also a photographer. He shoots for Hanif, while I shoot for Azlin.

Then I met Azlin's mother, asking her where is Azlin and if she is ready, and she said Azlin is all ready and is upstairs in her room. And so, I told her mother that I was her photographer and would like to snap some photos. Her mother showed me the way. I climbed up the stairs, and went to her room; I knocked on the door before I entered. Azlin's friends were also there, cherishing the joy for Azlin. Azlin was very nervous and at the same time was very happy. So then, I began to conduct my photography session.

Along the session, I took lots of shots, conducted various poses and so on. And just when the main part of the ceremony was about to begin downstairs, I realize this person in blue shirt was someone that I've seen before and that I've known before. That person was Hanif, and Hanif was my senior too during my school years at SMIH. I was surprised to know that my former senior was gonna engage my former classmate. haha.. But, whatever, I'm glad that both of them are happy together, and is fortunate for me that those two are the person who I really know.

Here are some shots taken. ^^,

Segamat

Segamat, Johor.

My family and I were invited to come over to Makcik Zah's (our close neighbour) home-town in Segamat as her family was having an Aqiqah ceremony. So, we went off to Segamat at about 11pm. Heavy rain was pouring all the way of our journey. The rain eventually stops before reaching the Yong Peng (U) exit. Then we headed to Segamat, which was about 73km. And along that distance, the rain poured again. The road was really bad as it have lots of uneven surfaces; the journey there was merely a bumpy ride. The rain stops again once we have reached Segamat. It was very fortunate that we did not get ourself wet when arrived at Makcik Zah's house.

We went inside; people there were eating the served foods and so we joined them even though we missed the main part of the ceremony. I brought my camera along with me as I was hoping to capture some shots of the baby. The last time I went for Majlis Aqiqah, I did not have the chance to snap a shot of a baby. I entered the house and went though several rooms and there I found the babies (not just one baby).

So, here are some of my shots. ^^,

Reunion G7

JB Catering, Larkin, Johor Bahru.

After attending Zikri's and Faid's reception, me and my four friends headed to Jusco Tebrau, with the intention of watching KungFu Panda 2 3D. We reached there at about 4.45pm and we took most of our time searching for parking space. Once I've parked the car, we quickly headed to TGV to view the showtime. The movie starts at 5.30pm and the queue was so damn long. Heck, it was Saturday, no wonder the line was long. And so we thought we could make it; we could buy the ticket right on time at 5.30pm; we took our chances. Fortunately we did reached the counter at 5.29pm. haha... What was unfortunate was the seats; there were 3 seats available, so only three of us can watch it. It was not worth waiting in the line though. Darn it. We cancelled our intention of watching a movie.

Even though we did not catch a movie, we played bowling at Daiman Bowl instead. We played two games. Man, it has been a very long time since I-dont-know-when was the last time. haha... Fortunate for me, I won the first set of the game, but I lost at the second set; Taufik won the second set. We finished at 7pm. Since the reunion starts at 8pm, we headed straight to Larkin Bus Terminal and prayed maghrib there.

Then we headed to JB Catering at 8.30pm and reached there 15 minutes later. All the other friends have not reached yet till 9.15pm. We were told that we could take our meals. There were tons of food provided, seriously, there were TONS of food. I was confident enough that 31 people attended this reunion will not be able to finish them all. A fee of RM50 for the reunion and the foods? Well, I don't know, worth the while may be, but what the heck, the food was great and delicious! ^^,

So here are some shots.

Zikri's & Faid's Wedding

Sangkar Kristal, Pelangi Golf Driving Range, Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru, Johor.

I went there with four other friends, using my car. I picked up Taufik first, then Madlong, Afif and lastly Arif. The event basically starts at 11am and the brides were planned to arrive at 2pm, so I planned to arrive there at 1pm before the brides come. So since I had to pick up my friends at four different houses, I had to push off early. Once I've reached Arif's house, it was 12pm sharp.

Since tonight we're gonna have a reunion at JB Catering, I thought we should take a look at the place, before reaching our destination at 1pm. Well, our first impression of JB Catering was not that 'positive' though. Then, we took a closer look at the place, which we went inside. It looks kinda 'okay' but basically we don't how it will be tonight.

After 30 minutes visiting JB Catering, we took off to Pelangi Golf Driving Range and we arrived there at 1pm sharp (I think). And so we went inside. My first impression was that the place looks majestic and luxurious. There were lots of people; crowded. The place was kinda small though, but it doesn't matter. Once me and my friends found a table, we took turns taking our meals. We all sat and ate our foods. Oh goodness, the food was totally delicious. Yummy! ^^,

So, here are some shots.
